Hi Stamping Friends,
I’m at the Stampin’Up Leadership conference today and wanted to share with you the roommate gifts I made with the help of my friend Linnea.
She designed this project and taught me how to make them. They are so fun to make!!!!!
We used the Twitterpated Fabric from the Occasions Mini Catalog.
Six strips of fabric 1-1/2″ x18″ were cut out and sewn together with alternating patterns. Press the seams so they face the same way.
Once they were sewn together. The raggedy edges were cut off. The fabric was then cut into 2-1/2″ strips.
Cut a back piece 2-1/2″ x 6″ of fabric. Interfacing was ironed onto the backside.
Put your fabric pieces, wrong sides together and stitch with 1/4″ seam leaving a 2″ opening.
Invert your fabric and press it flat with an iron. Top stich the edges of the book mark so the fabric lays flat.
Cut out flowers with the matching flowers and the Fun Flowers Bigz L die #121812 $40.95. Layer the flowers with a Subtles Designer Button and sew onto your book mark.
